In small towns across America, football is about more than Friday nights. Players learn that showing up matters, that teammates depend on them, and that leadership is earned.
Coaches carry far more than football. They teach, mentor, organize, raise money, support families, and help young people become accountable adults. These programs help hold their communities together. We believe they are worth protecting.
1,929 Programs. 26 States. One Network.
Across America, 1,929 six-, eight-, and nine-player football programs serve small towns and rural communities. Most run on small staffs and tight budgets, with little access to the corporate and foundation support that larger programs can reach.
On its own, one hometown program has little national reach. Together, these programs represent thousands of coaches, tens of thousands of players, and the families, alumni, and local businesses behind them. Our job is to bring them together.

What We Are Building
Connect the programs. A national directory and network of six-, eight-, and nine-player coaches, so hometown football has a stronger collective voice.
Back the coaches. Practical resources, education, and support for coaches carrying big responsibility with small staffs. We have already held three coaches clinics.
Fund the programs. Bring local businesses, national partners, foundations, and grant-makers together to create new support for programs with limited resources.
Build leaders. Support player safety, academic achievement, and service in the programs where young people learn that others are counting on them.
Project 25: $25,000 for Hometown Football, One Community at a Time
Our national mission starts at the community level. Each participating community works toward a $25,000 goal, beginning with five local businesses that step forward as its Founding Community Partners. The first $5,000 launches the community. The next $20,000 completes it.
We are starting in Colorado, where our work began. As the network grows, we will combine community support with national partners and grants to bring new resources to football programs in small towns.

The Foundation grew out of Colorado's 8-man football community and the Colorado 8-Man All-State Football Game, played every year from 2021 through 2026. That work gave us the relationships and experience to begin.
Colorado is our proving ground. Texas comes next, then six-, eight-, and nine-player communities across America.
